‘Mardi trekking route Nepal’ adding new tourism infrastructures
Additional tourism infrastructures have been developed along the trekking route of world’s famous Mardi mountain.
In a bid to provide facilities for domestic and foreign tourists, tourism infrastructures have been constructed on the route from Pokhara metropolis-25, Melbot to Astam of Machhapuchhre rural municipality.
Physical Infrastructures such as trekking route, park and railing were developed under the ‘one electoral constituency, one tourism infrastructure’ of the Gandaki province last year.
A plan was floated since last year to construct Melbot-Jhijhirka-Astam-Dhital-Dhampus-Mardi mountain trekking route and park construction.
There is a plan to develop a trekking route from Melbot to Astam, Dhital, Dhampus, Pritam Deurali and Dhital Lwang and Ghalel Kalimati in a way to connect Mardi mountain.
It may be noted that the Gandaki province government had allocated a budget of Rs 2.5 million last year. It was spent for the development of tourism infrastructure and different physical structures.
Gandaki province further shared that a 300-meter slate-placed path, 311-meter railing side wall, four waiting stand and ponds were constructed
